MAGICAL AURORAS
MYSTIC NORTHERN LIGHTS

Aristotle was describing Northern lights as: "Tears of the night sky behind which one sees flames" (Aristotle).

The scientific explanation:
These Aurora Borealis are emitted at altitudes ranging between 80 and 150 kilometers, in the ionosphere.
The light comes from the collisions between fast particles coming from the magnetosphere and the atoms and ions of the ionosphere.

Your description:

WOW!!!

It is great to understand the science of it but what a great feeling to experience it with your own eyes!

Northern Sky Lodge is located 25 miles from Fairbanks and 20 miles from Nenana, this is the perfect place to watch the Northern Lights .
From the end of August to mid-April, they will light-up the sky, any moment of the night.

At Northern sky lodge no needs to take an optional tour just step outside and enjoy the enchanting display of colors that are Northern Lights!
